4. To foster solutions to the 'problems of humanity'. For

*We do not imply that these goals should result in a fixed, definition and
historical conception of what Esotericism is and how it is supposed to be
studied in order to be authoritative, we rather perceive our goals to be continual
research into these problems ever widening our perspective on the matter -
from the perspective that research and science is a continual process and
not a static one. This again does not imply that 'relatively fixed' ideas
as to the history, nature, methodology, and practicality of Esotericism is
not valued or welcome.
1. Our Purpose (§ 2) will also serve as the general mean for reaching our four specific goals (above) by establishing and maintaining the International Society for the Academic Study of Esotericism.
2. The main means of this Society is to:
a. Establish and maintain: Individual and Collective Research Projects into the four main research areas as they have been described via the four goals above: 1. History of, 2. Nature of, 3. Methodology of, and 4. Practicality of Esotericism.
b. Establish and maintain: A Research Data Base of 1. Researchers working in or connected to this field, 2. Bibliography of relevant literature or works and articles on this field, 3. Research areas which have been treated or are about to be treated world wide.
c. Establish and maintain a research library.
d. Establish and maintain a medium for Researching and Teaching: 1. On the internet, 2. A Physical institute 3. A Journal 4. A Publishing Company.
e. Establish and maintain H.E.R.M.E.S.’ Antiquarian as a financial support for H.E.R.M.E.S. All profit made through H.E.R.M.E.S.’ Antiquarian goes to the support of H.E.R.M.E.S. Books donated to H.E.R.M.E.S.’ library which for some reason are not relevant or if we already have a copy, will be sold through H.E.R.M.E.S.’ Antiquarian and thus support H.E.R.M.E.S. g. Organise and facilitate lectures on all aspects of Esotericism.
