Hermeticism:

The word Hermeticism is as a scholarly construct generally used to categorize a set of disciplines, notions and currents which have come to share common ground especially during the Western renaissance (1400 - 1700). Hermeticism thus often denotes the synthesis of alchemy, magic, neoplatonism, philosophia occulta, hermetism, and christian kabbalah. Hermeticism is thus distinct from Hermetism which carries a more specific connotation related directly to the texts of the "Corpus Hermeticum" and their impact.
